My Experience in Japan

It is hard to express my amazement when I first got off into Tokyo, which was my first stop in Japan.

Our hotel was in Asaksuka, a short walk from Senso-Ji temple, so the first streets we walked were the traditional ones around this site.

Instantly I was amazed with how impressive, and different to anywhere else I had travelled, this area was. More than any other country I had a massive desire to get out the room and see as much as possible.

As is widely said, everyone we encountered was very polite and respectful. Getting around was so easy as their famed transport system did indeed run like clockwork. Every city and area we visited was spotless which added to the beauty of the country.

There are many social rules that locals follow. Do your best to follow these too and match their respect, but it is accepted that foreigners get a little more leeway if a social norm isn’t followed. Just be polite and considerate and you’ll be fine.
